Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Integrate strategies for managing safety-related issues in patients receiving long-term therapy with biologic agents
- Distinguish comorbid conditions that can affect the treatment of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis
- Develop practical strategies to optimize the treatment of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis in real-world clinical scenarios
- Discuss data that support the use of newer systemic agents for the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis
Activity Overview
Psoriasis is a chronic disease that is associated with a need for effective long-term management. Recent advances in the understanding of psoriasis pathophysiology have led to the development of novel targeted therapies, expanding the number of treatment options available and leading to new treatment paradigms. This Biologic Bulletin reviews strategies for managing moderate to severe psoriasis that clinicians can apply to real-world clinical scenarios.
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows, dermatology nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis.

Method of Participation
There are no fees for participating in this CME/CE activity. To receive credit during the period November 2010 to November 30, 2011, participants must (1) read the learning objectives and disclosure statements, (2) study the educational activity, and (3) complete the postsurvey and activity evaluation, including the certificate information section.
